*LITERATURE

-we are learning to identify narrator's point of view and character perspective.

*SOCIAL STUDIES/INFORMATIONAL TEXT

-we are using text evidence to support our thinking

- we will explain the interactions between two or more individuals, events, ideas, or concepts in historical, scientific, or technical text based on specific information in the text

-we will determine two or more main ideas and how they are supported by key details

-we will summarize the text

-we will identify, use text features, and explain how they help readers to understand the text.

GRAMMAR & SPELLING

-correctly spell 5th grade level words that are related (e.g., magic/magician)

*WRITING/SPEAKING

-construct and present piece from a different character's point of view using the writing process. Students will complete a part each day and present a final draft orally.
