Mrs. Noelker's LANGUAGE ARTS Class

This week, the class will be reading an example of FANTASY: Horace and Morris but Mostly Dolores on pages 296-313 in Reading Street 2.2. We will be targeting the Text-Based Comprehension Skill: Character & Setting and the Comprehension Strategy: Story Structure. In Fluency, we'll stress Expression. In Writing and Conventions, the class will be studying Different Kinds of Pronouns and Singular and Plural Pronouns, along with reviewing Adjectives & Our Senses, Verbs, Possessive Nouns, Adjectives, Nouns, Proper Nouns, Plural Nouns, Subjects & Predicates and the four kinds of sentences: Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative, & Exclamatory. In Spelling, we will be working on Consonant Patterns: ph, gh, ck, ng.
