This week's focus will be on an expository text, LIFE CYCLE OF A PUMPKIN on pages 62-75 in Reading Street book 2.2. We will be targeting the Text-Based Comprehension Skill: Sequence and the Comprehension Strategy: Important Ideas. In Fluency, we'll stress Accuracy. In Writing and Conventions, the class will be working on Adjectives along with Nouns, Plural Nouns, Subjects & Predicates and the four kinds of sentences: Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative, & Exclamatory. In Phonics and Spelling, we'll focus on words Vowel Patterns oo & u.
