Our reading program is called Journeys. The children will learn high frequency words and reading vocabulary. Each week they will read decodable stories which will help them read fluently. They will also read fiction and informational text. The children will work on different reading strategies each week to help them comprehend the stories.

The children will learn about vowel-consonant e syllables. They will practice tapping words with these sounds. The children will learn about syllable division.
