students spelling list will be based from their phonics assessment. They will work with the same phonics pattern for 2 weeks. The first week we will really study and work with the words in guided reading. Then they will sort their words. The 2nd week they will work independently with their words and do their sorts independently based from how we sorted the first week.The whole class will have 4 sight words to spell weekly with the list. The whole class will spell the same 4 sight words.
