May 20, 2019Dear Parents, Hello! Welcome to our last full week of first grade! It’s our last real academic week – last story in our reader, last weekly newsletter, last week for computers, Spanish…It’s hard to believe time has gone so fast! We will have our picnic on Friday and I hope to be able to say thank you for your support and encouraging, kind words throughout the year. I’m sorry, in advance, if I do not get to talk to you…know that my thanks and thoughts are sent your way. Thank you so much to everyone that helped to organize our picnic! A big shout out to our room mom, Leslie Caulfield for all of her help and creativity this year! Our class has the responsibility of preparing mass this Friday. With 16 children, I am not able to give everyone a speaking part in church. Some will be door holders (a very wanted and popular job), offertory, readers, and all will take part in the opening procession. Your child will know on Tuesday, if they don’t already, their assignment. Here’s a look at our last full week and mini next week All Week – your child may wear their festival shirt with uniform bottoms. Wednesday, 5/22: • U Day – USA – wear your red, white and blue!
