Welcome to the AWESOME 4th Grade! I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year at Bryson Elementary! My name is Tracey Abney and I am enthusiastic about teaching at Bryson home of the Bears. I am married to my college sweetheart, Kelvin, and we have two beautiful children (Kelcey and Kelvin Jr.). I earned a Masters degree from the University of Phoenix in Elementary Education.
I am excited about working with each student as we travel through this educational journey together. A primary focus this year is for students to gain independence. This goal will be achieved as a partnership between parent, student and teacher.
This year, our school theme is "We've Got the Power." (Super Hero Powers) We will be focusing on our new writing technique called "Power Writing," the 7 Habbits of Happy Kids, as well as integrating "powerful" technonlgy into our classrooms. I can't wait to get this year started! See you in August!
4th Grade Atlanta Field Trip is May 24, 2013. Buses will be leaving the school at 6:45 am and returning at approximately 6:30 pm.
